8 Week Online Pain and Symptom Management Course

Taking the first steps is not easy. You have a lot to learn: you consume videos, podcasts and courses relevant to your symptoms. The information you accumulated is beyond you, you have no idea how to apply it. One day you think you are getting a handle on it and the next you're back to you were before or worse. And although you want to dedicate yourself fully to your healing, you do not know where to start.

Now you face new challenges. You need to position yourself to go from knowledge to practice, but you don't see results. When you start something new, and your mind says, "How is this treatment model different than the last ones I've tried?" You dream of thriving but you don't dare to invest in it because you are afraid you will never get there. Your intuition knows you can heal, you just don't know where to start.

Join our 8-week educational Healing Workshop to learn how you can overcome the challenges of chronic pain and unexplained symptoms. Start your recovery in a peer-supported setting facilitated by Lori Erwin-Johnson, a trained PRTä practitioner and Kristen Still, BS a health and wellness coach. We will cover the following topics:

  • Mind-Body Education: Learn how chronic pain and unexplained symptoms develop and why they persist.

  • You know your body better than anyone else: Learn how to examine your own personal evidence and develop an understanding of how your mind and body connect to create your pain and symptoms.

  • Your brain can learn a new way: Learn tools to teach your brain techniques to create a safe inner environment such as guided exercises to interrupt your pain-fear cycle.

  • Build a toolkit that works for you: Learn guidelines to determine when and how to use pain/symptom-reducing techniques.

  • Pay attention to your mind-body language: Become familiar with other psychological factors that contribute to a mind-body response to danger, and discover how they relate to your pain and symptoms while creating the motivation to change.

  • Respond to stress in a better way: Identify the common behaviors and coping mechanisms that reinforces your fears that contribute to unwanted symptoms, pain, and anxiety.

  • Become your own best supporter and advocate: Learn to intervene on your own behalf from a place of self-love.

  • Bounce back from setbacks: Develop your toolkit for maintenance and relapse response and prevention.

Please note, this is not therapy. This is a facilitated, educational-focused, peer group opportunity to work on healing and wholeness. There will be plenty of space to examine and process a variety of different wellness and well-being concepts. The purpose of this workshop is to help you to find balance through mind-body education and to provide a place to foster self-work and PRT integration that promotes healing and wholeness.

Initial live chat

In the first video call we will meet one-on-one to establish the guidelines to follow during our 8 weeks together.

Weekly Group Meetings

We will schedule a group session one day a week to introduce new resources and tools to help you on your 8-week journey.

Online Educational Resources

You will have access to videos, documents, and groups recording throughout you 8-week training. You will continue to have access for 30 days after the end of the course, giving you time to review and download the resources for future use.

Who are we?

Kristen Still is a wellness coach with a BS in Health and Wellness from Purdue University. She works primarily with individuals with various disabilities and illnesses. She is passionate about helping all people live their best lives by providing health education and mentoring.

Lori Erwin-Johnson is a wellbeing educator and coach with an MS in Psychology, and has completed all but her dissertation towards a PhD. in Psychology with an emphasis in cognition and instruction. Her passion for mind-body healing began 25 years ago as a licensed massage therapist and energy healing practitioner. She went on to become trained in counseling and psychology, as well as receiving training in Spiritual Direction. Lori believes in healing the entire person: mind, body, and spirit. She currently works as an educator of emotional intelligence and spiritual direction. In addition, she coaches and mentors individuals with chronic illness and pain and has completed training to become a Pain Reprocessing Therapy TM Practitioner from the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center, LLC.
